Yes, just upgrade to Genius Scan+. You will also get more functionalities like export to Google Drive, Evernote and Dropbox.

The most important factor is light: you need a bright environment to get quality pictures. Try to avoid using a flash directly to the document, this will result in a circle of light that often makes documents hard to read. Try to remain stable when you take the picture and make sure your iPhone had the time to autofocus (usually wait 1 or 2 seconds until the picture appears sharp).

On the main page, choose "Camera" and take a picture of your document, even with some margins or perspective. After hitting "Use", Genius Scan will try to detect automatically the borders of your document and you will be able to adjust them manually. The next step is image processing where Genius Scan applies an algorithm adapted to your document. You can change the type of processing in "Enhancement". Finally, you can either save the scan into a document to gather similar scans or directly send it by email or to Dropbox, Evernote or Google Drive if you have Genius Scan+.

In Genius Scan 3.0, you need to swipe your finger over the document. We will soon make it more obvious.

With Genius Scan, you can send your scans by email (either in jpeg, for a single file, or pdf format, for several scans) or use Wifi sharing to access your documents from your computer. With Genius Scan+, you can additionally export your documents to Google Drive, Evernote and Dropbox.

First, you need to save your scans into a document. After cropping and enhancement, just click on the bottom left button for the save options. You can add multiple scans to the same document. Then, from the main screen, click on the document you want to send and use the bottom right button for the send options. Your document will be sent as PDF.

Right after cropping and enhancement, click on the bottom right button for the send options. If you have already saved your scan in a document, click on the document and the page you want to send and use the bottom right button for the send options. In both cases, the scan will be sent as JPG.

First, you need to be connected to a Wifi network. Then, go to the menu (top left button) in Genius Scan and activate the Wifi sharing. A web address will be displayed, at which you can retrieve all your Genius Scan documents.

Genius Scan is much more than a camera. First it allows to quickly crop the picture by detecting the document frame. Then it improves the picture, either by turning it to real black and white or by improving the colors. Finally, it allows you to save your pages into documents and export your documents as PDF.

Select your document and click on the info icon next to the actual title. There, you can edit the title and tags of your documents.

For each document, you can provide a list of tags and a title. Then on the main screen (the one showing the list of your documents), if you scroll up, a search bar will appear. You can search any document either by its title or tags.

You can tag a document. All your tags appear in the menu (icon at the top left of the interface).

Select your document and click on the tags icon next to the document title. There, you can edit the title and tags of your documents.

You can use tags to classify your documents and then search a specific document. They are also used when you export the document to Evernote.

Then, when you want to export a whole document or just a single page, use the bottom right button and select Google Drive. It will ask you for your credentials and then you will be able to edit the title of your document.

You need to have a Facebook account to use this functionality. You can only share a single page on Facebook and not a whole document. Select the document and then the page you want to share, use the bottom right button and select Facebook. It will ask you for your credentials and then you will be able to edit your post.

Select the document and then the page you want to share, use the bottom right button and select Twitter. It will ask you for your credentials and then you will be able to edit your tweet.

With Wifi sharing, you can access all your Genius Scan documents from a computer and another device connected to Wifi.

You need to be connected to a private Wifi network to use Wifi sharing. Then, go to the menu (on the main screen, click on the menu icon at the top left) and turn the Wifi sharing on. If the switch stays on, it means you can use any other device connected to the same network to access your documents. Just use the http address provided.

Genius Scan+ offers export functions to Dropbox, Evernote and Google Drive. It also removes the ads.

You have two options: you can either buy Genius Scan+ on the App Store. The drawback is that this downloads a new application and you won't be able to access your old documents. You can also use the "Update to Genius Scan+" option in the settings and you will then be able to access your old documents.

No ads should be present on the main screen and the export to Google Drive, Evernote and Dropbox is now possible.

You can return in the Settings and tap "Restore Genius Scan+". This will re-unlock Genius Scan+ if you previously bought it.

The Expensify export option is only available when you are exporting a single page and not a document with multiple pages. Just view a page of your document and the option will be available.
